The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Paris would like to announce that the experimental period of visa exemption for the ordinary passport holders of Japan, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macau Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, has been extended until 30th September 2020 under the following Terms;
- They are allowed to enter Myanmar through International Gateways such as Yangon, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw International Airports and Yangon International Seaport as well as through Myanmar-Thailand border check-points at Tachileik, Myawaddy, Kawthaung, Htee Kee and Myanmar-India border check-points at Tamu and Rihkhawdar.
- The applicants are permitted to stay in Myanmar for (30) days; however, extension of stay will not be allowed.
- It is allowed only Tourist Visa for the purpose of visit.
- The passport holders of Japan, Korea Republic, Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions of China
- must respect the Myanmar’s existing law and procedures,
- can visit around the permitted areas freely except from the restricted areas of the country,
- can be rejected the entry permit if the tourist is not allowed by the Immigration, and
- can depart from any international gateways.
