Terms and Conditions for the Tourists from Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, New Zealand

The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Paris would like to announce that the Government of Myanmar will allow the passport holders of Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg and New Zealand to apply Visa on Arrival (Tourist) in Myanmar for three years’ experimental period effective from 1^st January, 2020 to 31st December 2022 under the following terms;

• They are allowed to receive visas on arrival at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports with the visa fees of US$ 50.
• They are permitted to stay in Myanmar for (30) days; however, extension of stay will not be allowed.
• It is allowed only Tourist Visa for the purpose of visit.
• The passport holders of the above-mentioned countries -
• 1. must observe the Myanmar’s existing law and procedures,
  2. can visit around the permitted areas freely except from the restricted areas of the country,
  3. can be rejected the entry permit if the tourist is not allowed by the Immigration, and
  4. can depart from any International Entry/Exit Points of the country

Terms and Conditions for Chinese Tourists to apply for Visa on Arrival

The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Paris would like to announce that the experimental period of Visa on Arrival (Tourist) for the ordinary passport holders of the People’s Republic of China (except those from Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR) has been extended until 30^th September 2020 under the following Terms;

• Chinese passport holders (except those from Hong Kong and Macau SAR) will be charged a visa fee of US$ 50.
• They are allowed to receive visas on arrival at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports.
• They are permitted to stay in Myanmar for (30) days; however, extension of stay will not be allowed.
• It is allowed only Tourist Visa for the purpose of visit.
• The passport holders of the People’s Republic of China (except those from Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR)
  1. must observe the Myanmar’s existing law and procedures,
  2. can visit around the permitted areas freely except from the restricted areas of the country,
  3. can be rejected the entry permit if the tourist is not allowed by the Immigration, and
  4. can depart from any international airports.

Terms and Conditions for the Indian Tourists to apply for Visa on Arrival

The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Paris would like to announce that the experimental period of Visa on Arrival (Tourist) for the ordinary passport holders of India has been extended until 30^th November 2020 under the following Terms;

•  The Indian tourists holding Indian Ordinary Passport will be charged a visa fee of US$ 50.
• They are allowed to receive Visa on Arrival at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports.
• They are permitted to stay in Myanmar for (30) days; however, extension of stay will not be allowed.
• It is allowed only Tourist Visa for the purpose of visit.
  1. must observe the Myanmar’s existing law and procedures,
  2. can visit around the permitted areas freely except from the restricted areas of the country,
  3. can be rejected the entry permit if the tourist is not allowed by the Immigration, and
  4. can depart from any international gateways.

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population of Myanmar has announced that tourists from Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Russia and Australia will be granted Visa on Arrival (Tourist Visa) effective from 1st October 2019 as one year experimental period with the following terms and conditions;

1. Tourists holding Ordinary Passports of Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Russia and Australia will be issued Visa on Arrival (Tourist Visa) at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports.
2. Visa fees US$ 50 will be charged and maximum stay period for 30 days will be allowed.
3. Tourist Visa on Arrival will be granted for tourist purpose only.
4. Extension of visa is not eligible.
5. Tourists with ordinary passports from these countries -
   • have to strictly abide by the existing laws, rules, procedures, orders and directives issued by the Government of Myanmar;
   • be allowed to travel every part of the country apart from the restricted areas for foreigners;
   • abide by the final decision of the Scrutiny and Issuing Team of Immigration Department;
   • are allowed to depart from any International Gateways.

Types of Visa, Fees and Duration

Required Terms and Conditions for VISA ON ARRIVAL

The applicant shall

• Have a valid passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the date of entry into Myanmar.
• Bring two (4cm x 6cm) color photos taken within the past six months.
• Have the letter of invitation from the sponsoring company in the event of first trip of business study. (Stay cannot be extended.)
• Produce copies of company registration/business license/ evidence of permission to do business issued by the ministries concerned together with the application if he is working in Myanmar.
• Provide the name of the Company, factory, location, the sponsor and the position he holds if he is doing business with business visa.
• Apply for extension of visa with the recommendation of the ministries concerned as well as in accordance with the existing procedures if he is doing business with business visa.
• Produce letter of invitation by the ministries concerned if he is going to attend meetings, workshops, events and ceremonies.
• Not be allowed to engage in any sort of work with or without charges apart from the professions mentioned in the visa application form.
• Produce air ticket to the destination if he is applying for transit visa.
• Stay at the hotels, motels and guest houses holding legal licenses issued by Myanmar Government, and factories and workshops legally permitted and exactly mention the address he will stay at.
• Strictly abide by the existing laws, rules, procedures, orders and directives issued by Myanmar Government.
• For under-seven-year-old children accompanying parents in the visa shall be granted free of charge; produce the evidence of parent-children relationship if the children under seven years of age who are holding separate passport.
• Not be allowed to travel to the restricted areas without seeking prior permission.
• Report to the office of the township Immigration and National Registration Department concerned at which he stays within Myanmar mentioning the address of hotels, motels, guest houses, factories and workshops legally permitted.
• Depart for the country which he has traveled from by the arrangement of the airline he is using if he is denied entry.
• Abide by the decision of the On Arrival Visa Scrutiny and Issuing Team.
• Apply for Visa On Arrival at Airport Immigration Section obtaining the application form either from the airlines in Myanmar or the following website www.mip.gov.mm of the Ministry of Immigration and Population.
